A later report dated 14 October repeated that OpenAI will not release the model it calls Astra 6.1. What OpenAI has put out since points the same way. An official OpenAI page dated 7 October introduces GPT-6.1 Sol, described as near-Astra intelligence at one-fifth of Astra's standard API token prices. Sol is a tier-labelled model, and the rules exclude those. Help pages dated 16 October say the Pro reasoning option continues to use GPT-6 Astra, which also does not count.
